Infectious Disease Ethics Forum

The GLIDE Infectious Disease Ethics Forum plays a key role in identifying and responding to emerging ethical issues in infectious disease treatment, research, response, and preparedness. The Forum, which meets every two months, brings together scientists, bioethicists, humanities scholars, policymakers and health professionals from Oxford, Johns Hopkins, and partner institutions in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. 

The GLIDE Forum acts as a focus for the identification, discussion, and analysis of real-time ethical and policy issues arising in the work of scientists, health professionals, and policymakers. Through the cross-disciplinary discussion of ethical problems emerging in practice the Forum provides timely ethics support and enables the identification of new and emerging ethical questions in global health for collaborative research projects, policy briefings, and conferences.
