Research
GLIDE is a collaborative infectious disease ethics research platform. It aims to promote and support cross-disciplinary research projects bringing together researchers from across the humanities and social sciences, with scientists, health professionals, and frontline research staff.
The research supported by GLIDE is driven by ideas arising out of discussions at the GLIDE Infectious Disease Ethics Forum, research exchanges between GLIDE partner institutions, and regular workshops with members of the GLIDE International Expert Network.
GLIDE research aims to be responsive as well as forward-looking and anticipatory. Research focussing on practical ethical issues arising in the Forum will be complemented by, and inform, theoretical work addressing the many profoundly difficult and important cross-cutting conceptual questions concerning the ethics of infectious diseases.
